Fuel Pressure Regulator

Does anyone know if there is a car that runs a 5 bar fuel pressure regulator? Or if someone might have the bosch # for it one.

Why do you need a 5Bar?
it's just putting undo stress on the pump.

i tried using that part number with bosch and nothing came up?..
Im getting a certain tune, he told me to get one and put it on, im not sure what he is going to do with it, I thought it was to big aswell but he told me to trust him.

75% of the time people that tell you to trust them, don't deserve it.
The only tune that I know of the requires the use of a 5Bar is Neuspeed, and they're the ones that "release"/gain the least amount of power.
What company is it?

Idle: ~48psi
light accel: 52-55psi
full boost: 70psi peak and 5K-redline it will lower down to 63-64psi
high vacuum/hard engine braking: 43-44psi

Adding that much more pressure/output to the pump will just cause more stress on the pump. NTM the pump itself will flow more volume at <65psi than it will >65psi.

As long as the regulator is vacumm./boost assisted it will increase the fuel pressure to help add fuel with the added boost pressure. As noted by ny fuel pressure readings. (I run ~14.5 psi, Unitronic 1+ tune)
Basically what I'm trying to say is that typically if somebody says they need a 5Bar, the real answer is that you need larger injectors.

As long as your AFR maintains a safe level, then that's awesome.
I just don't believe in the use of a 5Bar.
I'd rather buy the right injectors and an adjustable. That way if you change a couple things here and there, you make minor tweaks. Say a tune uses 4XXcc injectors but wants a 3Bar. Well you've changed this and that since then. Well, you can set it to 3.2Bar if you need it and so on.

A fuel pump is designed to "dead head" at double the stock fuel pressure. Most pumps have internal check valves to ensure they don't push past 90psi. Running a 5Bar, plus vacuum assist, puts the pressure pretty close to where it's internal valve is designed to open to save the pump.
5Bar is 73.5psi, injectors are rated/recommended at 3Bar, 3-4 is where they typically atomize the fuel the best. Add boost to a vacuum assisted 5Bar and you're pushing damn near 90 psi under peak boost. 1psi is approx. +1psi fuel pressure.

Either way, back to the OP. If that's what your tuner calls for, go for it. I just don't believe in it.
NTM a set of used 310/317cc injectors can be found for the same price as a 5Bar FPR.

the real answer is that a tune doesnt require a certain FPR.

A tune requires a certain fueling, and the FPR is one part of that equation.

While running a 5 bar fpr isnt great for the reasons posted above, nearly every base K04 kit sold on the planet uses a 5 bar fpr. thousands have been sold and run successfully. its not the end of the world to use one, but if you plan to run anything bigger than a base K04, its a very good idea to invest in a lower pressure fueling solution.

j/k I logged mine too everything stayed within specs. fuel trims still looked good during the summer & winter for me too.

well a little you never know 100% until you try it.

i really wasnt 'that' concerned, i did do 'some' research before trying it
