My shifter seems to be kinda jerky. When im at a complete stop and take off nice and smooth the shifter looks as if it tightens up and stays that way, and when I let off the gas it gets loose and will continue to do this (tighten up) everytime I get on the gas. Is it the tranny mounts? The car shifts smooth with no grinding.

Mine does that too. From what I understand, its normal. If you're meticulous about it, get the JHM tranny makeover.

    Re: jerky shifter??

If you're just talking about shifter movement when going on-off gas, that's normal. A JHM won't cure that...

will Tranny Stabilizer help it some what?
is should minimize movement b/w the engine and the tranny, right?

    Re: jerky shifter??

check the condition of your motor and transmission mounts. sounds like they are worn. upgrading/replacing them will help, but probably won't get rid of it completely. A little movement is normal. snub mount and Drive train stabilizer bar will help too if you don't have them.

    Re: jerky shifter??

mine does that with new 034 motor mounts, rs4 trans mounts, rear diff bushings, snub mount. I know i need a new rear diff mount but that won't really affect the shifter shake. it's normal..

    2nd.

Drivetrain stabilizer bar especially helps in this regard.

    Re: jerky shifter??

people say to get SNUB mount, motor and tranny mounts, REAR diff mount which helps the most and DTS, all can be found @ 034 except for DTS i think, get AWE or ASP! I have all except the rear diff mount from 034 and DTS which i plan on doing with h sport sway bar kit during the summerrr
