13K in the bank is very good. put down like 2K for deposit. you just need to wait to hunt for the right car. wit the B8 coming out, B7 or B6 S4 is going to be cheaper. and also the gas price will influence the price of those cars. just wait man

On a side note. I started driving my Jeep around daily and the gas mileage sucks. I can literally see the gas gage moving whereas in my AVant it takes forever to move. 18mpg -vs- 30mpg is a huge difference! Oh, and the lumbar support in my Jeep sucks. Thinking I might swap some B5 seats into it. Then again, its a Jeep and I'm happy to be back driving a Jeep.

News Flash, its like the best time to buy a house, every other house thats for sale where i live are forclosure's. Intrest rates are low and its a "Buyers Market"

But i do agree deffinately spend all the money on your car , now that im off and finally have my job going, my future, i now need to come up with about 7k for a down payment. Not bad considering i could have been 23 when i got my first house but i will be 24 buy the time i purchase.

Throw half in an high intrest CD or invest in a roth IRA and in the long run you will make money and can have that extra little bit of money you need for a first home purchase
