    Help! car vibrating- coilpack?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
So I was at a light about 0.25 miles from home. All of a sudden my rpm's start to dip and the car starts vibrating. When the light turned green, I gave it gas and the check engine light started to blink on and off. I was able to drive home and pull these codes ( P0402 and P0011 were already there before this issues):

Well 1st thing tomorrow morning I'm off the the VW dealership down the street to pick up a coil pack? Any other suggestions. My car seems to be un-drivable.

Someone please respond so I can atleast sleep well tonight! =) I guess I should have expected this to happen since it's posted all over the place

Bingo. Went to the VW dealership this am. Got a coilpack for $45.

I replaced coilpack 4 (one in the back) and off to work I went.

Order 3 new ones in a few minutes online.

You hear about CPs going bad all the time, but it still scares everyone the first time it happens as it really makes the car run like crap.

My first coilpack blew in the shop when I got flashed with crappy Revo junk.

On my own, Two coils blew on me like 3 weeks ago. I knew right away what it was so I plugged in the vag com and figured out what Cyl's they were and took my moms nissan to VW and popped em in 10 mins later

I wasnt so shocked just dissapointed cause I had an appointment so I was rushing

^ My point was that even though its a cheap, easy fix, it still makes the car run crappy enough to really freak people out...sometimes even if they are familiar with CPs being a common problem.

What timing.... I just got the news ones today and on my way home from work the second one went!

I ordered them from: www.1stvwparts.com (which is www.auburnvw.com)

Each were $22.98 and $10 total for shipping.. Part number 06B-905-115-R.

Sure beat the $45 at my local dealer
