Color match or smoked bumper lenses?? need feedback(smoked em...pics)

i'm thinking of color matching my side numper lenses, but i was thining smoked may look good too since i am tinting the tails with a light tint. need some feedback!

or if anyone wants to do photoshop for me and put black bumper lenses and such on the car, that would be good too. thanks alot.

If you are going to smoke the tails, then smoke the side markers. If not, then paint them.

i put the smoked lenses & marker lights in on saturday, and it looks sweet against the black.

I vote for smoked.

you might as well not have them installed at all, just take them out and see if you like that look cuz that is what they will look like smoked. I like the smoked look but the color matched is just soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much better.

yeah i see what your saying...the color matched does look better, but the only thing i have a problem with is that you can still see the reflector sticking out. i wish i could shave them off but my car is leased

think i made up my mind, i'm going with smoke thanks to akasch...the smoked looks great with the ibis white. nice job on the car man. what % do you have on the tails??, i have light smoke and smoked sitting here in my house waiting to be put on

I don't like painted reflectors, because they look out place like you plan on shaving them in the future but never do. But that's just me... +1 for smoked

Yeah i have mud flaps and I'm not exactly sure what % i have for tails but they're way dark so I'm guessing smoked.

i'll see, i can always do smoked first because the film i can just take off if id ont like it. the color matched cant be reversed you have to buy new lenses am i right?

well it depends, you could get some paint thinner and take the paint off. do the smoke on the front and paint the back, see what you like better!

I just did mine yesterday. I used a can of $10 translucent spray tint. I couldnt justify $50+ for smoked reflectors. I only did the fronts and decided to keep the back red for now. They look really black and only you can only see some slight red reflection with the camera flash or at night with headlights shinning directly on them.

thanks for the pic, it's looking good. how dark are your tints on your car? does it go well with it?...and since you said you used translucent spray tint, will it come off if i decide i want it off

Those look great! How many coats of the spray did u apply? Could you do a possible write-up???

Agreed! The problem with the ECS Smoked ones is they are not dark enough on a dark car. I cut out Laminex film and smoked them out...came out pretty good I think.

so i ended up smoking the front two orange lenses and left the back ones red...i was too lazy to cut out templates for the back ones too. i will get to those another day, i will post pics tomorrow

I sprayed my rear ones with translucent black also, and I too decided it was WAY too much of a hassel so I just masked off the entire rear of my car to spray them.
