Question for those who have bought a trunk lip spoiler

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Hey guys, I have a S4 but I figured more people in the A4 section would have one. I bought a trunk lip spoiler off ebay and it got here today, I didn't know it would be made of rubber and extremely flimsy. Is anyone else's like this or is it made of something else, I'm wored about having it painted and the paint not working because its so flexible?

    thanks guys

Yes that is the way they are.
At the shop I worked at we put a few on and YUP thats the way it is. And no prob. as long as the painter knows what he is doing !

Yeah, just use a flex additive or an adhesion promoter. You should do this when painting any kind of plastic or rubber.

Big 2nd on that. On my 4kq the flex spoiler was repainted and held up well for years. It looked perfect when I sold the car.

The paint started to crack after about 3-4 years on my old B5 and it did have the flex additive. It never peeled or anything, just looked like hairline scratches. Other than that they look great and you could barely tell.
