Need '06 A6 help....Need Look In Tire Well

I'm trying to find out what part(s), if any go in front of the battery in an '06 A6 Avant. There is an empty space and a threaded bolt hole in the bottom that looks like something was bolted to it. I don't think it is there for no reason and before I purchase the vehicle, I need to let the dealer know what to replace. The parts dept. was of no help at all. Would someone please take a look and let me know if anything belongs in that spot? TNX

This is the empty space in front of the battery and the bolt hole (closest to the battery) that has a rub mark around it, is anything missing from this spot?

This is the torn edge of a piece of felt material, is there a felt cover that goes over the spare under the plastic cover?

Would anyone mind looking at the spare tire well and letting me know if something is missing from in front of the battery and if there is supposed to be a felt cover over the spare? TNX

Have you tried posting this question in the regular A6/S6 forum? They might be of better help to you.

Regular A6s don't have the same spare tire area, do they?

I have other Avant questions but I might have to try another forum. TNX

I have a 2006 Avant as well. I sent you a Message at your personal account. Check it out. I'll have an answer for you tomorrow but with all my audio gear I too might be missing what you're missing.

I have no idea how to post pitcures in this forum so I'll have to work with you via email.
