I just purchased an '06 A4 (automatic) with 22,000 miles on it. Love the car but notice there seems to be a dead spot at 1200 rpms. If I'm starting from a stop, say driving through town, the car accelerates/shifts normal until it hits 1200 rpms then there is a hesitation say until you get pass 1400 then the car takes off. Its then perfect at any other speed/condition after that. Any suggestion on what could be causing it?

my car is pretty similar to yours and i have the same thing when turning off of my street from a stop. its turbo lag. even a chip isnt really going to fix that. blame the transmission- a manual would have made things better.

Thanks, its my first audi, so I feel better knowing that this is normal behavior and that there is not something wrong with the car
