Whats the deal with Audi Platinum NGK's?

I put plats in about 10 K ago. I noticed my car was shuddering at wot in 4th and 5th so I replaced them with copper ngk 7's. I checked the gap on the plats...there were all 0.24-0.26

I just put in coppers, I wouldnt go for iridiums.

But for the plats to be way off..crazy

The plugs I have in my car have the four rings on them...and the are NGK PFR6Q....I think!

I am guessing since they have the audi rings on them, they are from the stealer...

Anyways, sorry for the thread jack, but they have been on my car for over 20K miles (who knows when the previous owner last changed them) and I want to change them.

I pulled them last week to do my compression test and all the gaps were @ .035" and they looked GREAT.

But i feell I should change them...What do you all recommend for a 100% stock engine?

I would put whatever was in there. You can get NGK PFR6Qs from Autozone or whatever. They probably have to order them.

I ended up putting in champion platnium plugs because that's what the store had in stock, $6 each. No problems yet, although it's only been a few hundred miles.
