So a buddy of mine is selling his 98 a4 1.8t Quattro 5 spd. Car is black on black. The paint on the outside is a little scratched and it would bother me enough to get it resprayed. Car has 150k on it. I took it for a ride tonight and it feels pretty solid. It has minor mods like boost guage, DV, N75, intake, test pipe, APR chip, spec stg 3 clutch, and LWFW. But the PO was BT and pushing around 300 awhp. Thats why i am a little hesitant to buy it. I mean what are some things i should look for or be worried about before buying. The timing belt was just done at 140k. I know since its a high mileage car the control arms will slowly shit the bed. I was thinking of having a compression as well as a leak down check before buying. What else should i look/check for? thanks

BTW hes asking 5k (and do you think its worth that considering mods/mileage/Previous Owner) and has e-codes with 8k HIDs
