Invasion of the Newbies!

Wow, it seems like there are a lot of new members coming in, which is great. There are probably a lot of B6's showing up at dealerships all across the US coming off of leases. Just wondering what everyone is getting their B6's for nowdays.

If anyone is interested, shed some light. If not then I understand.

Also, welcome newbies. Stay away from audiworld unless you got some tough skin.

Market is pretty soft on the B6/B7 S4/RS4. Especially with gas prices still being on the rise......in my experience dealers are pretty ready to deal on these cars.....with the largest discounts given to the B6 S4....B7 S4.....and B7 RS4 in that order. I've seen some pretty nice deals/discounts offered on B6 S4s......especially with the B8 soon to make its debut stateside.

That's exactly what I found when I was looking two months ago. I lined up three B6 S4s, one dolphin and two black, ranging in miles from 19k to 24k that I could've bought for ~$26k. I also looked at two 2005.5 B7 S4s for ~$32k.

In Canada, where we get screwed over on cars, especially now that our dollar and the US dollar are equal, I paid $41,000 for a 2004 with 41,000 Kms (~25,000 miles). This was at a dealership, and I could have gotten a better price through private sale, but the 1.9% financing and 2 more years of warranty sold me. Was considering buying state side, but being a contractor and only getting paid for when I work, and probably needing a week to go look at cars and make a deal, plus pay duty, and buy parts to switch to km/h etc etc it quickly didn't look that worth while.

I paid $42k for a 2006 25th Anniversary S4 2 weeks ago. 6900 miles, private seller, pretty much perfect condition. Tint & A4 rubber floor & trunk mats.

OUCH !! Picked mine up in Dec for approx the same (7k miles) and paid a broker to do the "red tape". Great finance rate though ! FYI, no parts needed to Canadianize the car.

I bought my Audi roughly 6 months ago for $26k. (Chicago) At the time, it seemed to be priced right. Luxury motors had a couple priced higher and the one I bought I found through Yahoo Auto's. Used car manager friend said the car was priced right.

I'm in Vancouver and don't have time or inclination to do the work either. I've bought several cars from the US and always use a broker who does everything from setting up transport to crossing it at the border and the inspections. I simply find the car make a call and pick up the car here in Vancouver already registered in BC a couple of weeks later. I saved ~$8k on my A4 and I've saved over $10k on other more expensive cars.

What I mean is, it's just sad about what goes on in the classifieds. Some members never post in a thread but they hunt for parts in the FS section and they waste sellers time because they low ball so bad.
I admit I have done it once because I didnt know the fair price about that part, never did again afterwards.
a lot of the members have trouble selling their stuff because of it.

I will admit the FS section can get bad. Both low balling and Over Pricing but that why you Negotiate. Also when a item is sold post it in the first post. Other than that the forum is great

I will agree that the Classifieds Section has its issues, but they do not define the entire site or community. Also, we're addressing those issues and we feel we have a good solution lined up. On top of it all, that's really not what this thread is about.

Got mine 6 months ago. CPO, all options, 33K miles, K40 built in for 33K.
AZ member (post above) in Orlando at 23K is a steal. Go for you man.
Clean Florida cars usually go for higher than northen cars that have lived winters.
I have not seen RS4s in SW FL go for less than 50K yet.

I think there are a lot of deals to be had on 04 that are 03 in service dates, as the warranties are done and few are willing to own out of warranty regardless of mileage.

Wow some super deals. Bought my non cpo loaded w/ out nav for 31800 w/ 26K on it back in Sept. I shopped for months and at the time it was a deal. Unreal what has happened to this car since then
