Help running wires through firewall ??

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I 'm installing a EBC and need to run a few wires for the solenoid I have the glovebox out and the raintray removed. I've removed 2 rubber plugs next to the battery but they seem to be a dead end. From the inside of the car I don't see any holes. What's the best way to get these through the firewall?

I only know of the ECU box

or you could take off ur front left wheel and go through the wheel well..if u want to know about that then you could go look at winston's guide on how to install the podi boost gauge

With the Profec B there's not enough wire to run from the turbo location to the ECU and then back to the cupholder, I hate to extend it. There has to be an easier way!!!!!!

There should be a grommet the has about 6 plugs in it. Read winstons write up for the boost gauge install

Over the battery there are 2 bolts. Drill a hole just to the left of them and limit the bit depth with some tape, poke thru the foam with a srcewdriver, then pull the glove box and you'll see it poking thru. Also, remember the install a grommet so your wires don't chafe.

There are two grommets by the brake booster on the driver's side. They are black and I think one is above the other. I've used the lower one and it drops in above over the peddles.

The 2 bolts above the battery? If I drill to the left of those I'm like 1in from the gromets I've removed and tried fishing a metal coat hanger through. I feel foam but on the inside above the glovebox there's this huge rubber boot looking thing it looks like it runs to the air/vent system, I'd hate to punch a hole in that, Does it matter???? I'd run the wires over to the ecu and then back to the cupholder location but the wires are not long enough. what a pain in the a$$!!!

Are you talking about the 2 allen head bolts that hold some type of bracket down direclty behind the battery? So you removed one of those bolts and ran the wires through there?

It's not a dead end...That is a ruber insulation use a pocker to make a hole in it and pass your wires through it...I am just doing the same thing now except I installed my turbosmart in my arm rest...You wires will be on top of the blower assembly and when you make the hole you will hit it so poke from down up with it..Once you pass the wires inside there is enough room to push the behind the blower and from there go to the console
