Will K04 or Pes t28 keep up....

Hey boys i have been doing a lot on searching and reading because i want to upgrade my turbo, first thing im a 2000 A4 1.8tQ tiptronic and have about 180km or 111846 miles i was wondering if im too high mileage. Secondly i heard the k04 has low end toque as low as 2000rpm, now does the Pes kit offer the same low end torque if not is there another kit that offers the same amount of low end torque, im not tracking my car just want to keep up to all those 2008 new cars out there ie 2008 Acura Tl type S which my boy just got and i think he has like 300hp but is still a Vtec

The PES kit will not have the same bottom end because it is a slightly larger turbo, but it will have more mid/top end power and more hp period. A larger turbo on your tip just means it will be slower to get moving off the line but once your moving it will have more power then the K04 in every way.

TL type s only runs a mid-14 if i remember correctly, you can tech do that on a k03 with the right mods pretty easily

Torque on the k04, and all supporting mods (except FMIC) and MTM chip is great. It does still leave a lot to be desired for the top end. Consider an upgraded valve body for the trans if you are going to the k04 or t28. Shifting can be a little flakey under high boost. The trans even in tip mode wants to down shift to a lower gear. Skip the tip chip and go straght for the valve body.

My T28 has pretty good high end power.
I am a tip also, and it is tough to race from a dig and get right into the power band

Trans is a pot luck thing. Mine failed at less than 70k when the car was stock. My friend has 180k on his, still going.
Engine however do a compression and leakdown test to find out the general health of it, pull the valve cover to look for any indications of sludge. If all is well then go for it.

Thnx i think imma go with the K04 but i wanted something with a higher power band so when im cruising just throw into 4th to pass, can this be done with the K04 or do i need bigger

The K04 power isn't going to be all that much more then you have with your K03.

From what I am led to believe, a K04 is maybe 10-20 more hp than a chip w/exhaust. Not that much gain for the money invested when compared to a chip.
