If any of you venture even a little bit outside the VW/Audi community, you should have heard about this car by now. Back when I had my notchback, I was on SVTPerformance.com all the time, and saw the progression of this amazing car. It has been through a few different setups through the years, mainly just different turbochargers, it started small(~GT42) and now I believe the latest is a GT47-88 and is still making well over 1000whp with a 331, 6 speed, and damn near always runs at the track in street trim(think 17" chrome cobras with DR's,4000lbs!) and is tuned by the guys at CFT.
BTW, he built this car to demolish Supra's at their own game, this car is an absolute monster on the highway. But as you can see, it does pretty well at the track too. He's shooting for high 8's at 170+ before he slaps a set of slicks on it.

This is taken straight from his thread on SVTP
