Battery Issue!

Hey guys my car has not been willing to start lately, it starts but is just lazy! today i finally fix my sunroof rattle and try to turnover my car and the notorious ticking starts and everything flashes, but my fuel pump brings up the gauge, my radio works, everything except it doesn't start! i think it's the battery but Audi put a brand new one in almost 2 years ago!!! any ideas??? how can i check if it's the alternator???? ya ya i know red tops FTW but $130 for a battery is way tooo much i might get a duralast or something! any help is much appreciated!

buying anything at autozone that isnt car care products is stupid. whether you drive an audi or a kia. they make crap and try to market the crap they make to people who know jack shit. if the battery is only 2 years old and you had the dealer replace it, it could be under warrenty. i know the honda replacements at work are like 3-4 year warrenty.

^^average mileage before death= 30-40k i've easily done that since it was changed! and so what should i buy????????? es no workee!

Do you have a small voltmeter? If so, with the car off check the terminals to see what the voltage is. It should be over 12v. In the same way you tested the battery, Start engine, at engine idle the voltage should be between 13.6 to 14.3 volts. If not the alternator may need replacing. You may want to put the car under load, aircon, wipers, lights etc

That ohm meter doesn't have the option to switch to Voltage?, should be a knob to switch around.

Check to see if it's the battery first. As for brand, sorry I wouldn't know. See what others have suggested.

i got an interstate battery from Ingolstatd west in canoga park for like 120 installed and havent had any starting problems for like 10k miles

Interstate sucks. Mine died after 3 years, plus the charge free replacement is only good for 1.5 years.

I am going with a bocsh 94R

I've got a walmart battery, free 2 year replacement. I bring it back every 2 years for a new replacement and the warranty starts all over again.

If its not your alternator my guess would be a bad starter, slow cranking could be a symptom of that.
