Try this in a small spot first, just in case.

    1 part warm water
    1 part white vinegar
    Spray bottle
    Cloths

Mix a 50/50 solution of the water and vinegar. Spray it onto the salt and really saturate it. Take your cloth and blot until all the salt is removed. You may have to do this a couple of times. You may want to take your carpet spotter and go over it one last time. You may want to use a heavy duty brush, not metal, to loosen everything up.

Let me know if it works.

    Re: Little Green advice

Little Green worked well for me.

Spray the salted area and let it soak for a few minutes, and scrub with a brush. Then respray and use the vacuum to suck it all up.

    Re: Little Green advice

yeah, after you soak it loosens the salt up so the brush helps clean it up. Then go over it again and you should be good
