I'm looking to lower my 2003 A4 3.0 Avant, currently rolling on non-sport stock suspension. I don't plan on slamming it so i'm not looking at coils. I found a good deal on a 2004 S4 sedan suspension, used about 40K.

    So a couple of things,
I've searched and everything i've read says the s4 suspension should bolt right on, will i encounter any problems specific to avants?

S4 owners: hows the ride quality? I love the comfort of my ride but hate the 2 inch wheel gap.

    Thanks

You also should keep in mind that the S4 suspension is tailored specifically towards the S4. This means that the springs and shocks were designed to accomodate the larger and heavier engine of the 4.2L engine. You might not get any difference in wheel gap if you swap. You'd probably be better off waiting for a used 3.0 sport suspension if you want to decrease wheel gap.
