Hey guys, I need your help. I just got my car flashed yesterday and now i see a glowing cat under the hood? What could it be. I felt a misfire several times and a little loss of power not much. It feels like its fine at high speeds, cant' really tell. I think it may be coil packs. Please advise, thanks..

    get a test pipe!

you have probably blown a coilpack (very common) causing that cylinder not to fire and all that fuel just being dumped into your cat.. replace all your coilpacks with the newest OEM revision "R" or HItachi E coilpacks like many of us have done..

Be Careful with that, If your exhaust is that hot you are probably knocking, it could be a boost leak from your DV also, Like they said above check you coil packs, hows your idle, you should also let your car idle after you drive it hard like that, i can cause sludging if you dont.

    Re: Cat Glowing Red Hot.

hey guys thanks a lot for all the feedback, i got all my coil packs, and plugs replaced. it seems to be fine now. I'm still worried does anyone think that the revo program had anything to do with this. I really hope not.

Thats not always the case, my car has almost 84,000 miles and original coilpacks!

I do have four new Hitachis in my garage, but have never swapped them as there has never been a problem...

I have noticed reports on this list of coil pack failures right after getting a chip.
