Went to the track tonight for Eurotreffen figured I would give the 1/4 a honest effort!

Car sucks down low but has upper end out the ass. Best I could do was 14.1 @ 109, then it proceeded to pour for an hour, then got some more runs in and really couldnt get off the line then. Let Adrian run a few passes and the best he could get was 15.0 @ 103

O well, all in good fun, just thought Id share! For those who care, best 60' was 2.4, boost 27psi, 93 and meth (no meth meth, blue washer fluid this time) T6

Kinda funny, had to push the car off the track on one of Adrian's runs, stupid IC hose blew off in 1st gear Got about a 30 person crowd around the car while we fixed it and lined back up though! lol

Did you have traction issues at all? Im sure you didnt expect the car to be a quarter mile monster, but Ill bet it kicks ass on the street.

Yeah, you've definitely got top end. I saw the 15 flat run, that thing gets louder than hell. What happened when you had to get pushed off of the track? I know you got right back on, but the announcer said you had tranny issues or something

Have you had the car on a dyno with the current setup? Its not the times that are worrying me but the trap times. I trapped at near those mph's with a fwd GTRS.

Trapping 109 is def a thumbs up imo. I think the lexus IS-f with a five oh v8 traps around the same. Nicely done Shawn

What was the DA at the track? And what kind of power are you making on those settings? I would have expected a much higher trap for a turbocharger of that size, especially being FWD.
Stock 03 Cobra's trap higher than that, and bolt-on LS1 F-Bodies run in that area as well. I'd be pissed if I spent the money you did and had trouble outrunning either of those vehicles.

Please tell me there is more left in it?

At worst, most of them who are driven at least half ass well are running 12's on stock tires and the factory paper air filter...

Shawn were you running 93 and meth with the GTRS last time to the track when you did 108mph?

Well that depends on what his 1/8th mph is, but a GT30 should be hitting 115+ seeing that its pushing 27psi.

With a 2.4 60ft. he is either spinning like crazy or bogging it off the line. Knowing Shawn and his tranny breakage fear, I'd say he was bogging it. And we all know that turbo cars hate to be bogged.

yeah, mine prefers the "bat outta hell" approach to launching.

i hate it when i bog by accident... happened a couple times when i first got the new clutch broken in and was trying to get launching it down. feels like the car falls on it's face (literally)

I understand that but I trapped 115's in a GTI that couldn't get any traction even in 4th gear and that was at LACR with an adjusted alt of over 3000 ft. The car made 400whp at sea level and was just running a GT2871r, but at 3000 ft alt it would be making way less power.

At near is not the same ... it takes a good amount of power to gain mph trap times. With my GTRS on 100 octane on 24psi I was trapping 106-108 (14.3 et)

My two best runs were:

60' - 2.467 & 2.360
330 - 6.439 & 6.318
1/8 - 9.533 & 9.459
MPH - 81.89 & 79.03
1000 - 12.042 & 11.982
1/4 - 14.167 & 14.122
MPH - 107.70 & 108.63

As I said above, I was spinning 1st and 2nd, up to 7200rpm, and half way through 3rd, launching between 4 and 4500 and feathering the pedal out quickly. Adrian says I have an issue somewhere, I have about 3-4 seconds before I get boost back between shifts and Im getting a major pressure block in the IC as the hose keeps blowing off with a T-Bolt as tight as I can physically get it. I think its the TB isnt flowing anywhere near as much as the IC so its backing up, just a thought though. This week we will get it figured out whats the cause and try again at the track in a few weeks

Keep in mind this was also on my 19's, about 78 degrees out and it had just poured for an hour, so a bit of humidity

Hey, why don't you relocate that DV to the IC pipe connecting to the throttle body. That way, in between shifts, you don't have to build up as much boost, therefore, reducing your boost recovery time.

Something else to add, we had our 2.5T Rabbit out last night, didnt run it, but it ran a 13.7 @ 99 about 3 weeks ago. It was just after midnight when we were coming back so we did a highway pull between it and my car. We started at 70mph in 4th gear, I pulled at least two bus lengths on it before I hit 130mph Yup my cars slow ...

I dont have a DV anymore, Ive got a Tial 50mm BOV but it is right after the turbo. I was getting compressor surge before, hence the reason we put it there. Adrian was adament that it went where it is with the surge I was getting but Ill ask him again
