s4 shocks with H&R race springs on 1.8T

Will s4's shocks fit my a4 1.8T ok? I mean with all weight difference and etc. And if yes, will it be different in performance/ride quality comparing to aftermarket a4 shocks.

i know with b5's s4 shocks mean a lift kit. s4's are heavier... so dont expect a lower automobile...

I thought springs make the ride different (height) and shocks just absorb all the bumps.

If your trying to extend the life of your stock shocks with lowering springs then I don't believe S4 stock shocks are the answer. They are not designed to work with lowering springs. I would suggest the bilstein sport shocks.

Well yeah, most places sell them for $400+ anyways
I know that new is much better, and a $100 i will save buying used shocks is not realy worth it, but still... I have ti fix my fender also... Someone hit me, i dont even know for sure who/where/when.

I thought a lot of people using Bilstein shocks, at least that is the common answer from a lot of guys.
The thing is $450 + $250 for the springs+$700... About $150 more and you can get some coilovers...

^^ true!!!! but u can get used springs for dirt cheap with barely any miles on them because people usually go coilovers after they blow their stock shocks!
