Correct, downpipe is extra but makes a huge difference with HP in turbo cars. Downpipes are available for manual and automatic cars just let us know!

^ yeah, but a 2.7T is going to sound a lot nicer than a 1.8T. Some clips on the 1.8T would be really helpful.

No offence taken. Difference is dyno tuning, if you want to squeze every bit of power out it will take an awful lot more than $800 in build + tuning to get these results. And to top it off you will probably end up with exactly what Techtonics already has available.

What I am wondering is where you see a used rusted exhaust? All of Techtonics Exhausts for the B6/B7 are Stainless Steel which cant rust and are as shiny as ... well stainless steel ... unless you are going for a polished chrome look ... but if your really concerned with dipping and chrome plating your exhaust you might as well dip it in nickel and be true baller. But if you are trying to save money then that would probably not be the way to go.

^^HAHA!!! ya no i have a custom set up but since most available exhausts for our cars are polished, i was wondering as to why this one wasn't! i know Borla makes a good product, it was just a simple why didn't they finish it, instead of leaving it look butch!

Well Borla as well as Techtonics are pretty much for race application only... it doesn't make sense to dip and chrome plate an exhaust for race applications. For show is a different purpose but then your catering to a different crowd ... We feel that Stainless steel is a very happy medium between build quality, as well as practicality on the street, track, and show.

It is all Apples and Oranges, both run 2.5" setups, both offer exhausts with downpipe/cat back options, and both fabricated from top parts, made of stainless steel, etc. I do know that Techtonics actually dyno tunes all their exhausts for maximum performance, their R&D into their products amazes me. I have heard both exhausts and prefer techtonics, we all run and love techtonics, the sound, performance gains will win me over every time!

We are working on getting a sound clip for the B6 & B7, once we have them rest assured, you guys will have them as well!
