    What is the purpose of Spacers? I see a lot of people in the forum refer to them as a popular mod. Is it only needed when you go to 19" setup? I have a stock b6 and was wondering what spacers would do for me.

    spacers adjust for certain wheel offsets so that the wheel is more flush with the outer rim of the fender and most times really enhances the appearance of the car's stance.
    Some people are like Slinkies - not really good for anything, but you still can' t help but smile when you see one tumble down the stairs.

    If you don't know what spacers will do for your car, then you don't need them. It's only a popular mod for the Rs4 guys who want to give their car a more aggressive look by pushing the wheels outboard.

    Spacers are also used to help some wheels clear BBKs.
