I got a speeding ticket/tint/modded exhaust!

I was wondering want to do because i have a testpipe and for the exhaust sound test i will pass at 3500rpm but im worried if that if they pop my hood and see no cat i could be fined for $1000. what should i do at this point? risk it or just pay someone to take it off

Also, the only place I know in SoCal for exhaust inspection is in Woodland hills but i think its CHP and I would like to avoid them. Anyone know a shop nearby?

Its at Pierce college.... no CHP involved... If your that worried, then put your cat back on for the test.

I called pierce college and they gave me the number for the CHP. The CHP r at pierce college. Do u have number of the place u know of krew?

i got the same ticket,
take ur test pipe off go take ur test, when you pass it bring it to court, prove ur right, ur ticket will get written off, and you can put the test pipe back on.

Whats involved w/ the test at a Ref station? Is it at the college itself (if so, who administers the tests? College rent-a-cops or? ) or the CHP station up the street from the college?
Is this the only place to get it written off? Or can I goto the sheriff station in Newhall?
I know there's a decibel test which I know Im under that limit but not sure what else is involved. Any insight is appreciated.

The Ref station is just a state cetified shop for testing the sound decible. Its not a rent a cop or CHP... When I went it was a mechanic and a student. They are not all at college's, Just our local one. It has to be located somewhere were there is no traffic to effect the test. Also you can only get tested if you have already recieved a ticket... You cant just go in from what the guy told me. Sheriff station probably does not have the equipment to test this. Good luck!!!

Oh I already got the ticket. Ive just been sitting on it and its coming due 6/2 so I need to get it signed off before the due date rolls around.

^^ My Sheriff buddy couldn't write mine off because it was marked non correctable. He even new the dick head that gave me the ticket... worst part was, he was just a reserve.
