How would hybrid KO4's run on stage 3 fueling meant for normal KO4's?

I have full stage 3 right now and am thinking of perhaps getting a little more pep.

If I were to have a shop install some hybrid ko4's, how would it react to stg3 fueling?

    I have a mbc also.

Just wondering if there would be gains, or if that would not be available until it was custom tuned ?

I assume it woudl be the same principal as going from k03's, to k04's and then keeping the stage 2 software, You woudl only be running stage 2 software. Although you have the MBC so you might be able to do a bit more with out affecting anything else. Good question though. I wanna hear what everyone says.

If you have 60Lb injectors, you should be fine. You'll obviously need to re-tune the maps to work properly with the new airflow rates and the fuel to match it.

If you have 42Lb injectors, you probably will be stressing them too far. Regular K04s come close to that as it is.

^^depending on what altitude you're at, of course

By altitude do you mean closer to sea level?

The higher in elevation, the less actual oxygen there is to burn.

Exactly, the higher in elevation you are, the less fuel you need to maintain the proper AFR. For example, I'm at 4000 ft and my 42lb GG's only get pushed to about 85% of their potential.

It all depends on the tune. I have hybrids and on different versions of the AWE files they have runs great and poorly. What software are you running now?

You know I guess they are not even worth the $

Its about $1350 for the upgrade, and I would be netting maybe 30 more horse max it looks like...and I guess it looks like it would definately need a custom tune then on top of it

Either way thanks for the input

Oh ok, I didn't understand where you were going with that at first...yeah that's a good point. Not to mention that GG's are smaller volume than the plain old green top (410cc vs 440cc).

Air pressure drops like .5Psi for every 1000ft above sea level. Your ambient air pressure is like 12.5Psi..hehe.

    Brett,
Are you sure about the flow of the GG's vs the GT's? I'm quite positive my GG's are flowing ~500cc @ 4bar...
