    Dutch Audi Driver

    Hey Guys,

I finally decided to register on this forum after some weeks of browsing the threads here.

    I've recently purchased a A4 B6 1.9tdi 180HP Executive audi.

    - Xenon
    - Sportseats
    - Sport suspension (oem)
    - 180HP instead of 130HP oem (tdi chip)
    - Parking distance control (oem)

Since you guys have some awesome mods here for this model I'm running into a couple questions.

But since this thread is worthless without pics, first some shots of my car :

Anyway, the car is OEM and on 17" OEM RS4 rims. Next to the fact that the previous owner wasn't very good with parking, I find these rims too small for this car.

I've seen plenty of really nice pics here on this forum. My first choice would be the 19" new RS4 replicas (2007/2008 model). But to be honest I do drive allot in this car (diesel) and I do not want to loose too much comfort.

19" doesn't have allot of rubber and it's probably going to be a big difference with 17" rims? My car does does have S-line/sport suspension (oem) and it is already lowered.

I'm trying to find some pictures of the RS4 reps in 18", but I've heard that this rim looks much too small (looks like 17" even though it's 18). Does anybody have any pics of this 18" rim under a A4 b6?

A RS6 18" rim would be another option, but not sure if this really looks as good as the 19" RS4 model. New S8 replica would be a last resort.

Further more, I would like to do the folowing mods

    - S4 door "wings"
    - Front spoiler ( you guys call it usp?)
    - S4 rear bumper?
    - Hood spoiler.
    - RNS-E DVD navigation.

Anybody have any good suggestions on the rims? Regarding the front and rear spoiler, do you guys suggest oem? Because it's pretty pricey compaired to the ebay stuff. I don't want to loose my rear trunk spoiler while driving 200+ KM on the german autobahn hehe :D.

The door wings (not sure how to call them?) can these be attached to the doors without any modifications? How does this work?

Thanks in advance for the help and I hope my english isn't too bad.

    Re: Dutch Audi Driver

Rs4 wheels are very popular. my personal choice is the rs6's.
if youre concerned about ride quality 18's are a fine choice and still look and preform well.
s4 door blades (wings as you say) are an oem part and are pretty easy to find from a dealer or parts supplier. they screw into the door in place i believe

    car looks nice

    welcome

    Re: Dutch Audi Driver

Even though I'm pretty new to the Audi scene, I think I can help answer a few questions. On my Mercedes, I went from 16" rims to 19" rims and the ride quality got a TON worse, however, the roads where I live are exceptionally bad so your experience might be different.

From what I understand, the S4 door blades, as they're called, snap on to the door. There is cheap eBay stick on ones, but I've heard that those are crap. Also, the rear spoiler should hang on tight as long as you get some 3M high strength double sided tape. It's made for this kind of stuff.

I think when you say front spoiler you are either talking about a splitter or a bumper. A bumper is the whole front piece of a car (check the FAQ forum and see the different kinds), whereas a splitter is just a thin piece of carbon fiber (or other material) people put under their bumper. Update the post with which one you are talking about so we can better help you find a good one.

Anyways, the car looks great. Just keep reading around here and it'll be looking better soon enough.

    Re: Dutch Audi Driver

    Thanks for the quick replies!

Regarding the front bumper, I want it to look a bit more sportive ;)

I'll have to read some faq's about this first. I've noticed that most of your front bumpers are different in hight and also come with a spoiler of some sort.

Do I need to buy a completely different bumper, ea a S4 bumper set or can I attach a bottom part to my OEM bumper?

I do think 18" are the best choice, but I'm really trying to find a picture of the new rs4 (2007) replica's in that size under my car. Or somebody who can photoshop this.

Like I've mentioned in the first post, I've heard that the 18" new reps look much smaller and more like 17". Anybody have any pics of my car with the new rs4 reps in 18"?

Photoshop would work also I guess, but hard to "guess" the size of the rim.

RS6 would be an option aswel, but not sure if they fit under a A4. They probably look allot better under a A6

I would seriously consider upgrading the rear anti-roll bar to the RS4 one - it will make your 180bhp all the more enjoyable.

Hehe yes, it does have park distance control. It's only equipped here on the most expensive line (Executive).

It comes with the sport seats aswel. They are very comfortable and better for the fast corners and long drives.. :)

Still hoping to find some pics of the new RS4 reps (2007) under my car in 18". Anybody?

Also, my front bumper is boring.. what would you guys suggest to do?

Next to that.. I can get 670 miles on one tank of gasoline! With our gas prices of 125 dollars for a full DIESEL tank.. i'm glad that it can drive that many miles..

You don't even want to drive non diesel here.. it's expensive as hell :(

My last car was not a diesel.. very expensive.. here is a pic of my old car.

Hehe, yes.. 670 miles.. I love diesel! :D

Regarding the exhaust tips, I'm thinking of using a 1.8T bumper and modify my exhaust :)

    Re: Dutch Audi Driver

Got my RNS-E installed yesterday :

    2007 S4 version.

    Don't mind the bad pic's.

Purchased two SD cards to go with it, gotta load them with some mp3's.. whee!!

btw.. still looking for somebody who can photoshop some 18" RS4 (new model 2007) under my car.. and/or the RS6 in 18". Can anybody do this? I need some reference pics of a A4 B6 with RS4 18" Reps (2007) and not 19".

Most cars here have 19" RS4 reps.. I would like to see them with 18 so I could get an idea of the size... anyone?
