    Tire Sizing Question

Hey guys, I am planning on buying a set of RS6 reps (18 x 8, et35) from hartman tomorrow and a set of tires off tire rack, and had a few questions about the right size to put on. Would the correct tire size be 245/40/18? I believe this is what I am going to do but after browsing through a few threads and seeing others choices on tire sizes im not to sure. btw, this is for a 2006 A4, which is not currently lowered. Also would any one know by chance the weight of these wheels? Thanks for the help!

    Re: Tire Sizing Question

We can do 245/40R18 or 235/40-18 (XL), either tire needs an 8" wide wheel minimum. Can't help on the wheel weight, sorry.

    Re: Tire Sizing Question

Awesome thanks, what exactly is the XL rating for on the 235 series tire? Also would a 245 appear to be to 'chubby' on the wheel, and would I be better off with the 235? Thanks again.

XL is needed for a larger load vehicle. 245's on a 8" will be fine.
