Has anyone had Byteshooter tuned on your car, if so what is it like? Im getting it done next week.

as far as i know byteshooter is the tool used for flashing.

i dont know of any byteshooter tunes.

i could be wrong. i didnt look very hard.

edit: even that mentions winols for editing. i still think its only a flashing tool.

yes. byteshooter is used only for the flashing portion of your "tune"

the tune will either be a purchased pretuned file from a source. a tune that the tuner has already done on another car, saved, and is now going to flash to your ecu. or he is going to dump your stock file, edit it, and then flash it back. or its possible he already has the stock file. haha

edit: why are you asking about byteshooter anyways? where did you find that?

a porsche tuner in my town is doing it for me, he uses byteshooter, He also told me to get a 5 bar for the next tune he is going to do. so hopefully its going to be pretty good.

I will forsure, Im pretty positive it is his own tune. I was looking at the program today with him it was really cool, it does everything from audi to ferrari to AMG mercedes.

the wierd thing is that when he when to flash it today he couldnt find any data on the ecu, its like it was blank. so hes going to solder in a chip so be can flash it. has anyone else had a blank ecu with no data on it before? like unreadable?
