Hi. I am planning to follow this DIY: http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=3156862 to refinish my stock 16" sport wheels. I have bought almost everything needed, except one thing. The metal filler. I can't find it anywhere! The posting said that he bought it at Autozone, yet I can't find it in Autozone! Do you guys know of a place I can get the stuff or anything else that will work? Thanks

Found it, and actually saw it today at checker auto. Also avilable online

I just googled the manufacturer's name and part number visible in the pic. Then went to checker and they do have it. But not all stores carry the same items it varies per region according to the guy that helped me.
Now the question is how can I find the silver color paint that matches my RS4 OEM wheels?

Is there a place where I can look up the paint color code #?

Would this silver be close enough?

First it's Erikas, I'mma guy :D. I already found an alternative to what I will be using to fill in the road rash. You guys may think it's crazy but I will use JB cold weld. A guy I know (who is good with cars) said that it would work well enough. And I can get it 50% off.

LOL Sorry Erick, but you can probably see why I thought your name was Ericka... Anyhow I found the filler and it was only about $3.95.

    Good luck with the project!

Well, I actually called my dealer and that is what they use. I wanted to find it at a local shop, but Wurth sells only to repair shops dealers and professionals, so I called my dealer to see if I could buy it from them and they were surprised that we found this for sale online. So the secret is out job well done...

Also by the way my dealer charges only $125.00 to refinish a wheel, not bad considering it's in $cott$$dale where everything is more expensive...

    Thanks again!!!

Latest update is that Einszett US will discontinue bringing from Europe the Silber Finish because of the disparity between the Euro/Dollar and how expensive it is to bring it to the US. I actually placed an order with Einszett and grabbed their last bottle off the shelf. Other vendors out there have stock, but pretty soon it will be hard to get for a while... As per the conversation I had with the einszett customer care rep...

    Just FYI...

By the way, I'm sorry I hijacked this thread, but I want to thank Erick for posting this thread, I looked everywhere and had a hard time figuring out how to fix my wheels until I saw this...

    Re: Metal Filler

Hey guys. So I carried through and painted my wheels. Used JB Industrial Weld to fill cracks :D. In the end they are still stockies, but IMO they look better than they did before.
