    2.7t guys. diy wheel well vents

    Have you, or have you heard of anyone cutting their own vents into the 2.7t wheel wells to let some of that hot air out ??

    theres a guy Boston Driver, he installed vented wheel wells, Not sure where he got them, but then again I havnt tried searching.

    so do the rs6 i read somewhere you can purchase it from the sealership for about $30 a pop i'm looking to pick two up myself.

    The RS6 wheel liners are about $30 ea. and they will fit AFTER you trim them down with a knife or saw. The RS6 fenders are the same as 4.2 fenders so they are wider. You'll probably have to trim an inch or so off to get them to fit. Boston Driver was going to do them on his old 2.7T but he moved to the 4.2L and there was no need for them.

    I now know you can get the rs6 wells with vents for around $60-70 and modify them. But has anyone ever cut their own with a circ saw or something? free sure beats 65 bux and after all, they are just slits

    perhaps screw a mesh over the vents. Does anyone have a close up of the stock wheel well vents?

    But, they aren't just slits in the plastic. That are angled vents that prevent dirt and water from getting sprayed into the back of the ICs while the car is rolling forward. If you spend most of your time driving in reverse, you'll have issues....lol

    Those will definitely rust out quickly, but that is the general idea. If you can find something like that in plastic, then you're in business.

    Hey i found another DIY http://www.s-cars.org/postnuke/modul...rticle&sid=154 its off an s4, but i would still rather just go to the dealership and buy RS6 vents.
