    Spark Plug Wear

    Has anybody seen wear on the plugs down to the electrode with 10k miles?

    Oxygen sensor troubles. Sensor was replaced in 8/07. CEL back on again.

    HELP!!!

    Is it wear or is it melted? Sounds kind of like extreme heat, which would indicate pre-ignition. Dangerous if it is. See this link for good explanation. Also if O2 sensor was bad, maybe it was running really lean and that's what start heat cycle? Don't know for sure, just throwin' out some ideas.

    ...after 16.5K, just changed them last weekend, no melting, just worn away.

    Thats what they looked like. Did you have any oxygen sensor problems that might have altered the mixture?

    Not that I know of, no CEL's. Wear items, I've had other cars that ate the plugs faster(usually turbo's). Do you run it hard all the time?
