2000 passat 1.8t engine code ATW
So its starting to warm up and i was getting the car ready for its first autocross . i changed alot of parts and added some others the only thing that changed on the engine was the stock air box went back in, new plugs, and SAIP deleted ans blocked off plate added. other than that it hasnt changed any, mods on the engine are APR chip, dahlback DV, DV relocation, ATP testpipe, milltek exhaust, green air filter. it ran great all winter and even last summer, but i took out the old intake i had and put back in the stock and now it is running more boost, spikes to 21 with the stock air box only 18 with the intake. not sure what to do i dont wanna cap the boost with a controller that will be a last resort i like the spike it will be great for auto-x. i've checked it with the vag fueling, timing, and knock are good. but it just feels like its getting to much of a boost spike and than it goes limp. i think its time for a different MAP sensor up it to a 3 bar sensor and see what that gets me. any imput would be nice.

Re: why do i go limp?

i thought the title would be fun. but i think its going to be a diode but i feel like that is just covering a problem rather than fixing it. the CEL from the TP is present i havent got a chance to fit it yet but even with the CEL turned off with a VAG the car still goes limp after driving for awhile and wont go out of limp until i clear the codes.

even if you dont clear the codes, will it go off if you turn the ignition off?

Re: why do i go limp?

    codes
    6 Faults Found:

16795 - Secondary Air Injection System: Incorrect Flow Detected
    P0411 - 35-00 - -
    16524 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor B1 S2: No Activity
    P0140 - 35-00 - -
17521 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor; B1 S1: Internal Resistance too High
    P1113 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
17522 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor; B1 S2: Internal Resistance too High
    P1114 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
17963 - Charge Pressure: Maximum Limit Exceeded
    P1555 - 35-00 - -
    16490 - Manifold / Barometric Pressure Sensor (G71) / (F96): Implausible Signal
    P0106 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent

the SAIP i know about pump and valve are not there anymore.
the first oxygen sensor looks like it has issues that may be causing problems.
now the charge maximum limit exceeded is that related to the manifold/barometric pressure sensor codes, could that be causing my limp mode, cause the sensor has issues?

Re: why do i go limp?

ok well i thought an update would be good i figured out the problem i pressure tested the car the other day and noticed a hissing sound coming from around the turbo come to find out my wastegate line from the N75 had a leak. so i fixed that put everything back together and now the car is happy no more limp. however i did lose some boost about 3 PSI but the car still pulls the same. i then put in my N75 race valve got the 3 PSI back and the car pulls harder now.
