Springs - Undecided H&R or Eibach

Looking to do either set up. I have an 03 Avant Quattro 3.0 (6-speed). I think the H&R might be too low for a daily driver in Philly and Eibach might not be noticeable. I am planning to run Bilstiens with either spring selection. I am on a tight budget and coil-overs are out of the question at this time. Wheels will follow next month.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated or even an alternative spring choice.

H&R's.................They give your car a slight rake look in the front, which looks perfect IMO!!! BTW .........you can never be too low

I just put on some Vogtlands springs and am sitting at 25.25" at the fenders all around. I wasn't looking for a big drop and didn't want to compromise the ride quality.

Re: Springs - Undecided H&R or Eibach

I found a brand new set on eBay for $525. The guy had inventory he was blowing out from shutting down his suspension business....or so he said.

You could consider used coilovers w/ lo miles.

Are you going to do your shocks too? You should consider that since you're gonna be touching all 4 corners anyways....

You want to save even more money you can consider 02 sport suspension it's the lowest B6 OEM suspension setup. That's what I'm running and I'm perfectly fine with it.

Lower than 03. I think by 1/2 to 3/4" or so.

I found this deal on Craigslist a few days back.

Re: Springs - Undecided H&R or Eibach

Eibachs are minimal. They're only going to take drop you about 0.5 in all around. On a sport suspension car, that means you eliminate about 1/2 the oem fender/tire gap.

H&Rs put your front down 1.0 and your rear about 0.8in, which eliminates all of the gap without rubbing or tucking the tires inside the fenders.
