I just wanted to post up an intro. I'm originally from Virginia Beach, but I now live in Northern VA and work in DC. I just picked up an Audi yesterday. 2004 A4 3.0.



I'm not very knowledgeable about cars (trying my best though), so I'm hoping to get a lot of info out of these forums. I also have an 81 Datsun 280zx that is sitting in my parents' driveway in Virginia Beach that I will be restoring.

If anything, I'd like to get coilovers in the future to get rid of that wheel gap. Since this will be my daily driver, I don't want to do anything too drastic since this is my only mode of transportation.

Can anyone recommend a good place to get tinting done?

welcome to az. woo 757! where in vb are you from? i got the same thing going. from virginia beach, live in arlington and work in dc. i got my windows done back at a place at the beach but i'd recommend keeping it light because cops around here look for that stuff. i've gotten 2 tickets in the past 6 months up here. at the beach cops couldn't care less. also, i just got coilovers and i'd suggest keeping them up pretty high or going with the stock sport suspension since the roads around here are terrible. this is my daily driver too so i thought i'd give a heads up

Yeah, that's Skyline Autos old location.......a friend of mine bought a B6 3.0QTM from that same lot about 2 years ago when it was still Skyline before they moved up the street to their new location.

I'm from the Salem area. Salem Woods, to be exact.

Is the place in VB called Atlantic Shoreline? I've gotten all my cars tinted there before. They do stellar work. If I cannot find a decent place up here, I will go back down for a weekend. By the way, I only plan to go 50%. I'm not about to give the bacon a reason to pull me over.

Yea, I agree with the roads up here. They are pretty miserable. However, I think I can handle it. My last car was lowered. You just need to remember where the potholes are!

oh nice. i'm from the great neck area, right off of first colonial rd if you are familiar with that part of town. yeah the place at home is called tnt and its right near the beach off birdneck road. i got my last 2 cars done there and they do great work. yeah 50% is def the way to go around here since cops search for that stuff. good luck w the windows and the drop. i think i have every pothole around here memorized too. you'll def know if you forget one.
