    wax/glaze

So since I started looking around on this site, i had the chance to do some research, and have decided what I plan on doing except for 1 thing. before I start i have a 2003 silver A6 that I doubt has ever really had any exterior detailing. I have always taken care of the interior. I use regularly mcguires leather cleaner and conditioner for the seats and vynil protectant for the (obviously) vynil.

    My plan:
    1) wash: sonus
    2) clay: sonus
    3) polish: sonus sfx-3 final vs klause AIO
    4) glaze vs wax:

not quite sure which to use glaze or wax and also which wax to get. For the real heavy duty guys here. I do not plan on buying a PC. It is out of my cleaning budget, so please dont tell me to get one. I am thinking of p21S carnauba car wax, but I am not sure. since I dont have a PC and I will not compund out the scratches maybe it is better to apply a glaze, but I am not sure which one. please help me out.

    thanx in advance

    Re: wax/glaze

If everything will be done by hand, I would go with easy to use products. I'm not sure how the swirls are on your silver car but it being silver it won't be as revealing as with a dark paint. I would go with Einszett Metallic polish for cleaning/some concealers/protection, followed by the Hart Glanz (protection/shine), both products are real easy to apply and buff off. If you still notice some swirls and I will not even bother to get a polish as you may heard Audi clear coat is steel hard, just go with a glaze like Menzerna's. These will require quality applicators and polishing/buffing MF towels. Talk to Phil@DD, he may have better suggestions in your situation.

Glaze is for hiding swirls, if you don't have it you don't need it. Einszett Metallic Polish cleans and protects, essentially this is all you need after a good wash/clay. You can follow this with the Hart-Glanz which offers more shine (synthetic polymer + carnauba) and protection (more durable and longer lasting than the EMP alone). These are very easy to use hence best for elbow grease application.
