    Flex polisher

I had the opportunity to work with a Flex this week.

I have worked with a pc for 3 years, and got some great results. I'm thinking to buy it and keep the pc for sealants only.

However, there's something that bothered me from the flex.

1 - the noise. It was louder than the pc.. however the pc @ 6 (which I rarely use) was like 4 on the flex. So noise wise it was pretty close.

2- Weight.. heavier than the pc.. and since it's bigger and torquier it was a bit more difficult to handle on tight or bumpers.

I remember reading some posts and guys telling that the flex was more quiet than the pc.. could it be that the one I used had something wrong?

besides that.. the flex made my pc felt like a toy. I just need to confirm if the noise level is higher on the flex than pc and if 6.5" is the proper pad for the flex.

    Re: Flex polisher

Search blkyukon on youtube, he has a side-by-side comparison with PC and Flex DA. I won't be surprised if Flex is noisier than PC at the same setting, Flex is actually going faster (OPM speed) at similar settings. From what I've read in other forums, it has more cut/correction ability and can do 90% of rotary work. The only issue I have read so far is the overheating of the BP where most people that did not experience only had to tighten it up before using.

    Re: Flex polisher

I really appreciate your help oneseba

Here's the income on the flex..

Overall.. much much powerful than the PC.
On the flex @ 2 feels like 4 on the PC. 3 on flex like 6 on PC

But the flex makes you work harder.. so I still use the pc for the last step of sealant.

    Menzerna FMJ

Last year I used Blackfire Wet diamond. Quite similar. Blackfire has more of a reflection but FMJ has a better depth.

I need to get a red pad.. Is it better than the grey/black one?

red is the softest for the wax/sealant stage but not necessary.

    Thanks Phil

I'll be ordering some Einszett stuff soon from you very soon, next week or the other.

Do you carry 7.5" CCS pads. I'm having a hard time getting finding some here in Canada.

I'm lazy, I smear/over apply when applying Hart-Glanz by hand, the red pad is perfect for me.
