B7 Useing keys on a B6

Hey,

I was the B7 keys on eBay and since I need to get another key anyways I was wonder if they will work on a 2004? The guys says he knows it will work on a 2005. Has anyone upgraded to this key?

And yes I know they have to be official Audi keys due to impurities in the metal.

yes but you will have to mod it. If you search under the the title you used you will find tons of info on a diy for this mod.

Look for B7 key swap howto,
all you need is to get a cut blade or re-use blade from old FOB, swap imo chips and you're set (unless your chip is glued in)
