    Question HELP Need to Re-Program with Vag

    Doing an engine swap and I have the vag com program. Was told that the whole car needs to be re-programmed (everything) cluster, abs unit, etc. do someone have a tech sheet or something, so I can set the right codes.
    I DON’T KNOW WHERE TO START

    Im asking b/c someone gave me the ross tech software, and they wont help since i didnt purchased thru them.

    both, i already have the ecu for the car. had a H Box(6spd) got a J Box (Auto/Tip) i had installed a auto/tip tranny on a 6spd motor. the car is about 90% completed.

    your cluster doesn't need a recode. I don't believe the ABS module does either, but I'm not positive about that. The ECU will already have the appropriate coding, no need to touch that either.

    Thx. So once i start the car i wont get any fault codes? and if i do what do i enter using the vag-com?

    Yes b/c at that time I didn’t know how to drive a 6spd. However, yesterday one of my customers with a 08 BMW 3 series taught me. I learned under an hour (the basis) now im kicking myself in the ass b/c it wasn’t that hard to learn

    Hope I run into another 6spd S4 at the auction

    ok started the car today however here are the codes from my vag. please help me out

    Address 01
    18010- power supply terminal 30: voltage too low P1602-35-10--- intermittent

    18057- powertrain data bus: missing message from abs controller P1649-35-00

    17861- exhaust gas temp sensor 1 (g235): open or short to plus P1453-35-00

    readiness 0110 1101

    Address 02
    17125- torque converter clutch circuit perfomance or stuck off P0741-35-00

    18258- prowertrain data bus: missing message from ecu P1850-35-10-- intermittent

    18265- load signal error message from ecu P1857-35-10-- intermittent

    18249- engine control module/ transmission control module incompatible P1841-35-10--
    intermittent

    Address 03
    No Fault Codes

    Address 08
    Notes: Excessive Comm Errors

    Address 17
    00779-Outside Air Temp sensor (g-17) 30-10- open or short to b+ intermittent

    Address 45
    01377- Ultra Sonic sensor for alarm system: left (g170) 31-00- open or short to
    ground
    01381- alarm triggered by anti-theft sensor: rear right 35-00

    What I think you should do... This is just my opinion... If you got all these codes upon start up of the car, Maybe you should clear them all, Drive the car and then see what codes pop back up... and let us know..
    Also make sure you battery and ground connections are nice n tight..

    i was thinking the samething, but wanted a second opinion. however i will chx all of the ground connections thx
