This is my First one so don't flame me too bad.

If you have seen the late model Audi's with the LED DRL's and wanted them on you car without having to fork out the $400 for the kit ;here is a DIY for adding LED's to your audi.

Tools needed:
Pencil
T square(or some type of straight edge)
Screw driver
dykes
Electric hand drill or drill press(both come in handy)
Dremel

Hardware:
Polycarbonate(better than plexiglass; more durable)
Some small screws
wire
2x LED strip from SuperBrightLEDs(i bought the weather proof ones for now)

First step is to remove your lower grills.

Now we start with the polycarbonate. I picked this for the reason stated above. Be sure to measure the pitch of each LED on the strip(the manufacture says they a 13/32 but check anyway.

(do this twice)From the polycarbonate i cut two 1/2"x9' 1/2" strips from the polycarbonate stock. Next take your pitch measurement and with pencil draw the spots to drill. Next drill (the drill press makes life a lot easier)

If the holes are off a bit remember the Dremel is your friend

Now if you purchased the same LED strips i did they will come with brackets. If not it is real easy to fabricate something that looks like this.

Next i found some collars for the screw that will hold everything in place.

(A few steps in one here) Next mark down on the back side of the grill where you want the screws to attach too. After that is done take your polycarbonate strips and put the LEDs on top of them so that they are sticking through the holes. Now screw in the brackets to hold it all in place.

Splice in some extra wire on the wires coming out of the LEDs and pop your grills back in place.

Now you can wire them a couple of ways
1. Wire them to your Fogs if you have them
2. Wire them to your DRL's if you have them
3. Have a separate switch in the interior with power coming from a power post underneath the knee bloster

After it's said and done it should look like this or better.
