It's been a long road and it's almost over and I really miss driving my car, but it should be finished soon. I just hate the fact that I am having to fight to get my car fixed for something that was not even my fault, even after the insurance company admitted fault on their part.

I'm not quite sure what you mean, but I have a GT28R which Mike said qualifies me for BT status. Maybe someday I will join the BAT club, but you have to start somewhere.

How's the search for another car coming along? Mine was bad enough but at least I got to rebuild it. I would hate to have to start over again. Hope everything goes well.

i actually found a 2000 santorin 1.8tqm avant with some minor front end damage to swap all my goodies over. Hopefully I can pick up on the cheap. If insurance is fair, i should have 2k in extra cash and a spare motor to build a 2.0l and a throw in a gt35. The beauty of it is i get to step up an me7 ecu so i can do a bit of tweaking on my own and go mafless. I will also make a few bucks parting out my car.

That's not a bad deal at all. When will you be for sure on the car? How much of your stuff will you be able to swap over? I hate it when things like car accidents happen to people who truly love their cars and modifying them.

But I always like to hear of the stories that happen when the person ends up coming out ahead.

shouldn't be too much effort to swap my motor over. bumper will swap over and the hood too. I should know by the weekend about how much my car is worth and what i can pick up the new car for.

The pieces that I had done in addition to the 9 piece kit, are as follows:

1) Fuse cover - (both sides)
2) Armrest
3) E-brake cover - (both parts)
4) Trim above steering wheel
5) Rear center ashtray
6) Radio surround (for double din)
7) Door inserts/ armrests (all four)

They were not one off pieces, but Terry had not done a lot of them before mine as they were the first. He will do the same for you if you want him to. Just pm me and I will give you his information so you can tell him what you want done.

The thing I liked most about it was that it had the same thread pitch as my MOMO shift boot so it fit perfectly. I made sure to ask that first and he said it was designed after the MOMO shift knob.

This was from the CF GB that we had already talked about. I am just now getting the pieces as the person doing the work was out because of back surgery.
