Does anyone know anything about the ECS slotted/cross-drilled 11.3 rotors. Are they a stock replacement? Are they good? Help me out guys.

I think I'm going to go with the ESC slotted/cross-drilled rotors. Old Guy recommends them and I take his opinion in very high regard. Now that I've more then likely decided on rotors, is there a DIY on installation? I don't feel like searching.

Re: Best rotors, and best place to get them.

I'd suggest flat face Zimmermans for stock brake setup as that is the best rotor you'll find for the money.

If you really wanted looks then get the Zimmerman X-drilled units as they come that way from the factory. ECS cuts/drills the blanks afterwards.

I ordered them from www.thepartsbin.com and got free shipping too.

    Plain face is $70, X-drilled is $100

    Wouldn't recommend them.

Only go with a drilled or slotted rotor which has been manufactured that way. Taking a rotor(OEM or not) and then drilling and/or slotting afterwards can lead to premature failure/cracking. The only true OEM drilled rotors are Zimmerman's. No OEM makes a drilled/slotted rotor---that's a misnomer.

I agree with your statement if you are tracking your car. But for normal street use with a healthy dose of spirited driving I do not think it will make any difference. Speaking from my own personal experience I ran the ECS rotors for three years and 60K miles with absolutely no issues. At the time I bought them the price was a very reasonable $145/pair. Here is what they looked like after 60K miles. No cracks, no rust, no chatter, no warping. I certainly got my monies worth out of these rotors. My son now has the car and they are still going strong.
