    Help: hesitation at 4-5000 rpms

Im stg 3 on stock intercoolers(for 2 more weeks) and have k04s, 60#injectors, epl MAF, and epl tune. I had a bad O2 sensor so I just changed both of those and swapped new plugs in and its still hesitating most noticably in 3rd and 4th gears around 4 to 5k rpm. It holds 21 lbs boost even when it hesitates. It like it cuts out a little then it takes off again a second later. Im not getting any misfire codes and the car runs fine other than that. I have some logs and will log again tonight but I dont know how to put them into graphs. Any ideas??

lol @ dv's. why would you even suggest that?

its probably throttle cut, ill bet anything on it. check for that when you log.

did you change all of your spark plugs? And what did you gap them at?

It sound s exactly like what I experienced when my plugs were fouled,

But I could experience the hesitation you speak of in 2nd gear as well

yes it does it in second only higher in the rev range. the ones I pulled out were gapped very tight probably .025 im guessing and I put in Bosch f5dopr but the old plugs only had 2k miles on them and the new plugs didnt help at all

Make sure the plugs are gapped correctly.

I'm also guessing that it's throttle cut.

I dont know how to post logs. However the car is running super rich, like O2s reading 95ish volts. Brand new O2s, one new egt but the other seems fine, updated coolant temp sensor, no leaks around the airbox. I plan on pressure testing as soon as finals are over. Any other ideas???

Re: Help: hesitation at 4-5000 rpms

i had the EXACT, same thing...

my mechanic said its faulty O2 sensors.. this happened last week, or 2 weeks ago..

istill havent changed my O2sensors.. and it hasnt happened since!

mine would happen in the higher gears.. 3rd, 4th, 5thand 6th!

right around 4,000 - 5,000.. the throttle would cut off... andstart and cutt.. i would release the gas.. then floor it again, and no problem.. switch gears.. and in the 4-5000 rpm range it would do it again!

but it hasnt happened since 2weeks ago.. and theonly changes ive made.. was

1)fuel.. i normally put sunoco 94 octane.. but for one tank, i put 91 octane from shell.. then i put 94 octane again.. (thats when it started happening) maybe inconsistency in the fueling.. confusing the ecu?

    2) it was a warm day, its cooler now..

those are the only 2 changes since than.. and it ONLY happened THAT day..

    car is fine now though!

Re: Help: hesitation at 4-5000 rpms

I think my problem is a little more complicated since this has been going on for a while and Ive changes sensors and plugs and several tanks of fuel and still a consistent problem
