    T-Carbon Rear Valence

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
So, just wanted to post this e-mail that I received from Tylor at T-Carbon in regards to my valence...

    Hi,

We have just test fitted our first prototype from the new mold and are very pleased with the results. Fitment was not perfect, so we did have to modify it to some extent. We now need to make the same adjustments to the mold that we made to the first prototype, but after that, the product will be ready to go back onto the market. I'm sure you are still interested in the replacement? When is the soonest you could send your current product back to us?

    After my reply,

Thank you very much. No, it was not our intention to require modification in order for the product to fit. The fitment of your diffuser was unacceptable, and so was the quality. We promise you will not be let down with your new version.

At this point I am really excited to see their new product. I just shipped the old one back two days ago. Many thanks to Tylor and the guys there for making good on their product and making this whole process extremely simple for me!

    Re: T-Carbon Rear Valence

Wait, are they offering to swap Ver 1.0 with Ver 1.1 for free? Mine is just sitting around. It arrived with cracks in the clearcoat and never attempted install after hearing the horror stories.

Good luck, I wouldn't do business with those guys again if they were giving it away.

    Re: T-Carbon Rear Valence

honestly I would just steer away from TCarbon....luckily my valance wasn't cracked or damaged at all so it was "installed"....ended up having to shave all the tabs off & secure it into place with expoxy

    Re: T-Carbon Rear Valence

I get that a lot of guys had problems as did I... But if they do make the effort to fix the problem, on a case by case basis I'm sure, then that's alright with me. I was frustrated as well, but I am very helpful yet informative and business minded in dealing with issues like this. That helped a lot combined with the concern for a better product on their behalf.

Yea I've been talking back and forth with Tylor on probably a once to twice a week basis... He usually takes up to a week to get back to you, so just have patience.

I think those of us who purchased the valence's have been very forgiving. A little more time will not kill me as long as I'm kept in the loop. ;)

    Re: T-Carbon Rear Valence

I have a Tcarbon cf valance installed, I posted on the original diy post several times. I cant beilieve people cut the tabs off or trimmed the bumper holes for the tabs, I was able to mount the valance by strictly modifying the valance. I am the first to say it required WAY to much modifacation to be considered a "bolt on" but using epoxy to hold it in place after you trimmed the tabs off....[O_O] holy larry daryl and daryl move.... I too will be requesting a replacement when th v2 product is ready. Someone should just forward this thread link to Tylor!

    Re: T-Carbon Rear Valence

I decided to install my as well and the fitment is way off. One end of the valance sticks out a bit. I don't know if I have the time or $$ to get it fix.
