    NavGate AVIC-F900BT or Pioneer AVIC-N4

So Pioneer has some wicked stuff coming out. And I need some advice.

I've got the bottom of the barrel Audi sound system in my '05 A4. I want Nav and I want an iPod interface.

Now, being that my stereo is single din that leaves me somewhat limited.

I was leaning toward the AVIC-N4, but I really don't like the idea of tearing out my OEM dash.

But now Pioneer has some sweet new products coming out, mainly the AVIC-F900BT.

    Check it out: http://www.pioneer.fr/eur/flash/prod...f900.html.html

    Which would you choose?

    Thanks.
    -Steve

f900BT looks pretty sweet...i dont like that MSN Direct bullshit though. You can hang on till June! No harddrive though which sort of sucks, but the navigation is on an SD card which is kind of cool.

f900BT does look pretty clean... but is it able to change that blue lighting to red like the D3?

Yeah, I'm leaning more and more toward the F900BT since I won't have to tear out as much stuff.

The nav info is not stored on the SD card, rather it exists on an on-board flash module (2GB). The SD slot is for bringing in your own content and system/map updates and POIs (Points Of Interests) into the system.

I too am getting it for my 08.A4 special edition :) Oh, and I'm going all the way for the F90BT and cover all bases.

I have had them all except the pioneer f series or n series. the D1 and D2 are bad, D3 I rate a 7, I rate the Z2 a 9 and the RNSE is a 10 in my books... I just feel that having something OEM that fits perfectly is the best. IMHO If you don't want the rnse, then get something double din like the Z2 or the new F series...

Screw the single din flip ups, our air vents will block it.. Stupid

I don't have any navi, but is I was to get it, I'd go RNSE. Just for the OEM look factor.

I agree ^ go OEM and you wont regret it. In my mind, getting something that fits and functions is important...

Some of us can only do the single din.

I've got more than enough space to flip up before they're near the vents.

I think I'd rather do a dash mounted unit though, so I can take it on the go when I hit the trails and stuff.

Those in-dash double din units are super sexy though. Defiantly making sure I do that with my next ride.

The Pioneer units fit just fine and function better then the OEM unit.
