Is this TOO wide for you?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I bought 15mm spacers for use with my winter wheels, but decided to keep em on for a lil while longer to see how it looks. I'm not sure what I think of them. I have 17 inch BBS CHs on 245/40 General Exclaims.

More formally, I never properly introduced myself on this site, I just kinda jumped right into discussions. I'm a student at Rutgers University in Camden, NJ. I bought this car last August with 127,000 on the clock from an enthusiast in Maryland.

Most of the pics were taken with my feeble Kodak, with the exception of a few professionally done by a friend.

As the car sits now it doesn't have too many exterior mods, but let me know what you think it needs, if any. Thanks.

And some less recent pictures, without spacers.

No CEL! 142k miles and counting!

This car will be Stage 3 within a year, I'm just a college student!

Re: Is this TOO wide for you?

Looks awsome, and Wow I agree, nice to see over 140k on the clock! keep piling those miles on.

A few things I would do is drop the car a little bit more and I do think the rear tires stick out a little too much. If you get them to line up with the rear quarter panels I think they would look better.

But that is my opinion. Overall Car looks awsome

With out. No need to fix something that doesn't need fixing. 245 don't run and look fine. IMO it looks better not SOO far out.

    no tire stretch FTL
rock some 225's or even better 215's ....
im poking almost as much as you but the stretch properly pulls it off. 225's on 8.5 inch wheels with 20mm spacers in rear ftw

Re: Is this TOO wide for you?

Like thirdstrike says, you need more stretch.

If you want to go with a wide tire, vs. a stretched tire, you with a diffrent tire. Something that has less of a meaty all season tire on it.

In the end its your car, just my opinion.. but very nice pics

I agree with the stretch. If you were lowered a bit more and stretched, I would love it.

I have spacer too. Looks exactly like yours. My wheel are out of 3/4'' from my fenders. That give a damn good look to the car but handling is not that good. It has tendency of more under turn than before. I'll revove them this summer.

I dont think it looks too wide. i'm not one for the protruding look but ur set up looks good gives it a lil more of an aggressive stance down low. and dam u for have more miles than me and ur led screen still works!! i just hit 102000 this weekend. great car i always loved the blue!

car looks good man, I love nogaro... stance looks good with the spacers, makes it look aggressive, especially from behind. (although the rear tires might be a hair too far out) BBS CH are sick, very classy. I'm a senior at Villanova, poor, waiting to dump a bunch of money into the S4 once i start working. as for exterior mods, just steer clear of the rieger front bumper. go OEM RS4 or do nothing at all... and no CEL with over 140k, how the shit is that possible?

Re: Is this TOO wide for you?

You'll need at least 245 to get any kind of grip on UHPs... I like wide tires, it's purposefull. But better switch to some real tires if you want any performance, you'd be surprised at the difference it makes.
