Are these precut? Or do we cut them ourselves? Ive heard that the precut ones are always cut short... any upclose pics of the edges around the headlights and fodglights? Can we also mix and match, such as light tint on the headlight and yellow for the fogs?

cool, could you take some detailed upclose pics of the fitment with the edges... I want the film to wrap around the corners not be cut short on the face like window tinting is done... if that makes sense

I've installed alot of these at work and more...They do NOT wrap around the edges. They are flush..If you want them to be wrapped around, we can get you custom cut pieces. Please call with that type of referrals-

Re: **Lamin-x now at Supreme Power!**

Could you post pics of the difference between smoked and gunsmoked? I know ones lighter, but how much lighter? Does this affect the light output very much? i.e. with smoked is the light output worse? i.e. with the yellow say installed on the full headlight... will the entire light beam be a neon yellowish or will the HID beam break through the yellow and be someone white-ish like normal? Probably just answered my own questions, but I would like to know from your experience what you have noted. Thank you... sorry for 100 questions.

Re: **Lamin-x now at Supreme Power!**

He told me that smoke is DARKER then gunsmoke and that it should typically be used for tail lights. Said output of smoke on the fronts isn't so great. Needless to say, I went w/ gunsmoke for both headlights and fogs.

  14. #14

Re: **Lamin-x now at Supreme Power!**

Yes Smoked is significantly darker than GunSmoked as krazy said above. I've ran/tried Smoked on my headlight/indicators and it almost blacked-out everything. If you are looking for the "blacked-out" look, then I recommend that. If not, the GunSmoked finish is the way to go. The output does diminish on standed type bulbs, moreso than HID style lighting-

Re: **Lamin-x now at Supreme Power!**

Do you have precuts for the s-line side markers? I saw someone post pics of their ride with blacked out sidemarkers and he said they were lamin-x, but I don't see them on your site.

  17. #17

Re: **Lamin-x now at Supreme Power!**

They don't make sidemarker kits, but if you want just give me measurements, and we can get them custom cut.

    Thanks,
It comes with everything needed. All you need to do is clean the lens of your headlight and/or foglights. There's instructions how to do it, and a plastic scraper to flatten it and remove the bubbles. It's not all too difficult, just trying to line it up properly will be your issue.

Re: **Lamin-x now at Supreme Power!**

Like krazyboi said above (thanks!), the Lamin-x kits come with a squeegee, and installation instructions. I suggest doing the install during the day, with no rain in your local forecasts. And you can always give us a call, so we can help you through it, if Lamin-x instructions aren't enough. No prob!

They are good stuff, i got it almost like 1.5 yrs ago and works great! I might need to order the foglight one since the edges of mine is pealing off a bit and dirty. And is only $10 !

Does the laminx come off with no residual if you wanted to take it off?

  27. #27

Re: **Lamin-x now at Supreme Power!**

Perfect timing, since I just recently took off some clear lamin-x off my foglights, to install yellow ones. It peeled off rather easily. You want to heat up the lamin-x by having your headlights/foglights on (additionally, I put a white towel to reflect back to the lens). And peeled off with no residue. Sometimes, if left on for over 5 years, you may need to get some goof off, which can be purchased at Ace Hardware, Home Depot...then it just rubs off with your fingers.

Re: **Lamin-x now at Supreme Power!**

I happen to have a new set of Xenon housing for my A3 that I would like to cover with the "tint" shade. Since I've got the housing in my garage. my preference would be to just buy a sheet that I can use to custom cover the housings. Can you recommend a particular size that would cover a left and right housing on an A3. I've heard mixed results on the pre-cut fittments so I prefer to get the fit myself?

Also, what is the color of the darkest shade? I want to do my sidemarkers? What would be a good sheet / size to use for these -- I guess they are about 5x2.5" or so?

    I'm ready to order! :-)

Re: **Lamin-x now at Supreme Power!**

    Hi-

Just measure the circumference of the headlights. Give yourself at least 1/4 to 1/2" extra. Then we can get pre-cut squares for you to custom fit.

I've had a few customers do this, to their likings although I haven't seen this in person yet. Its very easy to put on, or take off especially on the sidemarkers.

two BIG thumbs down for SPP's customer service backing up what they sell... if they send you a broken product, its the customers fault not theirs!

Tyray- The tints are as follows smoked, gunsmoked, tint. I recommend tint for your application, as it will be the lightest of the shades.
