    Where To Buy Oil Filter

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Hi all,
It would also be nice to just stop at an automotive store and pic one up, but the few I called said they had to order them. I'm looking for the best place to buy (on-line or not). Anyone know where besides the dealer? In a previous post, some were saying they only paid $10. ECS has them for $15. Where are you guys getting yours? A generic part number would be helpfull too.
    Thanks

Its only a difference of $1-4.
I picked mine up at the dealer.
By the time you order one and pay the shipping it'll be the same anyway.

Agreed, not a big difference in price, just convenience. The dealership is WAY out of my way (would cost me at least 2 gallons of gas). GermanFilters.com has Mann filters (includes ring) for $16.53 each + $4.95 shipping for orders under $50. Free shipping for orders over $50. I'll buy 4 at that price and be under he dealerships $20 each unless someone posts a better deal.

Has anyone used the Purolator oil filter for our car? What do you think about it vs. the OEM?

Re: Where To Buy Oil Filter

    I don't think I've paid more than $18 at the dealer ... more like $14 or $15.
But hey, if it's only couple of bux difference and the dealer is out of the way then just order it online.

Re: Where To Buy Oil Filter

I got a couple Purolator filters from Advanced a month or so back. Went to one store and they didn't have it so they called another one that was local and they had two there so i picked them up.

Don't forget to get a new washer for the drain plug.

Re: Where To Buy Oil Filter

I bought mine (for S4) for roughly $22 at a dealer. A little on the expensive side, but like everyone said, $15 from ECS plus shipping/tax really only makes it a small difference.
