Has anyone added the LED running lights from newer models as fogs for the B6?

I saw a new S5 on the road the other day behind me. Im a really big fan of the new LED running lights that a lot of the new models are sporting. I was wondering if anyone has attempted to put a set on as fog lights for our B6 S4 like ive seen them on the Porsche GT2. If so does anyone have pictures? Feedback?

i had purchased oem s6 led's do that but they were too long for the given area. so i sold them instead

It wasnt possible to shorten them? What about the ones from the S6?

You won't be able to shorten them, just hide them behind the bumper. It's not an easy task.



Then you can hide the cuts with a grille.

Ah it was your avatar that had me wondering also. Do you have anymore details for me? Price of the two sets of LEDS? Any other materials needed? Also do you have additional pictures?

Be sure to read all pages, pics on more than just the first page.

When I bought them they were $250 shipped, but that was over a year ago. Now they're well over $300 with the dollar so weak.

Other materials needed would be a switch (at least the way I installed them) and then some wiring, an inline fuse probably and for my install a bracket was used to hold the LEDs to the bumper. The grille was custom made as you can see in that thread.

A few have tried but I don't recall seeing any that were done well.

I'd be interested in putting these on my B6 S4 as well... hopefully there are more DIY walk-throughs out there? I wanna see more examples...!
