Heard it does wonders for the Manual Transmission, what about the Tiptronic tranny?

Any feedback from people with this on a tiptronic would be great.

    Thanks!

I don't think it does anything for auto trannys, I could be wrong but thats my best guess from what I've read. Someone who knows for sure hopefully will chime in

So then it would not help a Quattro at all?

i think this question was already answered above... maybe you need to figure out what the purpose of the snub mount is first before you decide whether it will be helpful or not.

^^^^^^^^^if you can take the time to reply to the post it's just as easy to take a few minutes more to explain what a snub mount does.

+1, but also, i did read the post above...yet there was a contradicting post that stated that it did help (yes i read for FWD) but i wanted to make sure that did not also extend in any way to quattro tips.

OK ... So here is my 2 cents ... I have a FWD auto trans .. after having it chipped for a while I noticed the engine felt like it was *moving around* during shifting and when switching from park to drive or reverse I could feel it *shift around*. also from a standing start I could feel it not as *grippy* so anyways I had the engine mounts inspected and they where all fine so I went ahead and bought the snub mount... needless to say .. my issues have been gone since then. Now it feels smoother and when you step on the gas it *grips* right away ... you dont have that *the power is making its way down to the wheels* feeling anymore. Anyways hope this helps.

Don't waste your money..I did and I hated it. I'm B6 quattro tip but same thing. Performance wise, it did very little but the vibrations negate ANY benefits. The prob with auto cars is that you are never in neutral when at a standstill (stop sign, light). With it 'in gear' the car vibrates a lot with the snub mount. If you flip it into neutral it'ws fine but who does that? I tried several times to try and adjust it to minimize vibrations but ended up turfing the mount and putting my old stock one in...oh, what a relief :)

With respect to everyones Opinion ... Its clear that to some the vibrations it does cause are not to everyones liking ... I on the other hand dont feel very much on the vibration side and never have to flip to neutral. Everyone has different experiences with products and in this case ... the Snub mount can be a good thing for most .. and a not so good thing for some ... But seriously ..... *not trying to be a Jerk here ok* If you read what the snub mounts are made of ..... Its OBVIOUS .. that the feel of engine vibration is inevitable. ( hope I spelled that right ) I have read the Product description on both ecs snumb mounts and APR snub mounts and its pretty darn obvious on what the result will be. Ok .. so to wrap this thread up .... If your into Performance and willing to sacrifice some comforts then MOD on !! if your not .. then you might as well stop and leave the car stock.

Reminder that just because someone is not happy with the way a MOD feels... doesnt mean you wont. I dont see why there would be much of a Difference between the construction of the ecs unit over the apr... but that could play into the way it feels also. Be your own judge. Peace
