Re: WTB 90 or 91 coupe quattro

    Depends on Condition.

I've seen them for as cheap as $1000. I've seen them as expensive as $7000 (gotta be all original and in pristine condition with sub 100k miles on it).

But honestly they go for between 3000 and 4500 on average.

Some fully built ones will run over 10K, but that takes the fun out of it if you ask me.

Remember there were only around 1700 imported during 90 and 91 combined but surprisingly there seems to always be 1 or 2 for sale every month. I'd check Audifans.com and then also your local craigslist.

I saw a REALLY NICE "Bamboo" (champagne/gold color) one for sale last year, maintained by 034.

It's really hard to find certain colors, so sometimes there will be a premium on the more rare colors. Ginster Yellow, Lago Blue, Bamboo, and I"m a fan of Pearl White but that seems to be the most common color. Laser red is also tight.

Its harder to find CQs on the West Coast. I typically search the Oregon and Washington craigslists. I got mine in Phoenix Arizona last year. 134K awesome int/ext condition, but a small problem with rust.

Re: WTB 90 or 91 coupe quattro

I want one to, but every project car I've had has failed more or less when it came to body work. For a clean garaged example with low miles and all maintenance done I could only see about 11-15 grand. My neighbor 2 houses down is into Audi's although we don't much talk, he has a TT, 00-01 A4, and 99-2001 A6 2.7T, and now he has a 87-89 Coupe which looks cool, but old, meaning body needs a lot of work. I have a feeling he's not going to redo the body, shame.

It's actually Tornado Red, but you got everything else covered.

I love my Lago Coupe, there really is no other car like it here in the US. All it needs is some more power, but I'm working on it

It's nothing like your B5 S4, but it's more fun to throw around in the corners

It's better to find a well maintained coupe, as there is lots of small issues with these cars (ISV, breather hose, TPS, etc) So any money you save picking up a cheap one will be lost.

Plastic distributor gear is another, find 1 w/ the brass upgrade

1 of the 1st things I did to mine , didn't want to be stranded on the side of the road.
