Hey guys. I know some of the A6's out there have DRL's and I was just wondering if anybody knew if there was a DRL aftermarket kit out there?

    Thanks!

I herd something about taking out the switch for the lights and wiring the fogs to come on all the time
(without having to do the "ulgy" jumper mod on AW)

there is not an "off the shelf kit" that I know of

However there are a few write-ups on different methods depending on what you are trying to ultimately accomplish.

Some of the folks that have imported A6's and allroads into Canada have had to retrofit a DRL solution. Here is an excerpt from another thread:

Using a wire tap connector, connect the headlight switch #8 (white/yellow) wire to the #2 (grey/green) wire. This will permanently turn on the front fogs (as long, of course, as you have made the appropriate fusebox tap connection so that the fogs are powered as soon as the ignition is switched on and not just when the low beams are on). The wire tap connector is a $2 item from Radio Shack and has two blades in a plastic enclosure that make contact between two wires without having to alter the wires in any way. It's easy to remove once the Transport Canada inspection is completed if you prefer.

Incidentally, this does not affect the high beam foglight defeat or the rear foglight functions.
